#7 DIY | Paruppu Keerai/Dhal with Spinach |Healthy And Nutritious food

Today's recipe is Parrupu Keerai/Dhal with Spinach which is a tasty and delicious as well as a nutritious food.
Spinach is a nutritious food which has more vitamins than fruits or vegetables, also it costs very less.

Ingredients:
1. Onion: 1 Medium size
2. Tomato: 2 Medium size
3. Green or Chilli: 2-3 pieces
4. Curry leaves: As required
5. Mustard Seeds: As required
6. Toor Dhal: 50 grams
7. Moong Dhal: 50 grams
8. Spinach (any kind which you prefer)
9. Asafoetida: As required
10. Salt: As required
11. Sambhar/Kulambu chilli powder
12. Ghee (optional)
Steps to Prepare:
1. Chop the onion, tomato, chilli and keep the curry leaves ready in a separate plate.
2. Clean the spinach properly and place it in a plate to keep handy.
3. Mix the dhal, moong dhal, add 1:2 ratio of water and keep the dhal in pressure cooker, leave 3-4 whistle, wait for it to cool down.
4. Heat a pan, pour 2-3 Teaspoon of oil in the pan
5. Add mustard seeds in the pan after 2-3 mins and wait until it crackles
6. Add chillies and curry leaves in the pan.
7. Add the onions and saute it for few seconds until it turns golden brown.
8. Add the tomato and saute it until it gets cooked.
9. Now it's time to add the cooked dhal in the pan.
10. Add the sambhar/kulambu chilli powder in the dhal
11. Add salt as required
12. Add the spinach and keep the flame in low for 15-18 mins.
13. Add the asafoetia as required
