DIY| Mysore Pak | At Home
Mysore Pak is a popular South Indian sweet usually made during festivals.
Ingredients:
1. Besan flour: 1 cup
2. Ghee: 1.5 - 2 cups
3. Sugar: 1 cup
4. Water - 1/2 cup
5. Milk - 1/2 cup
* Cup can hold 200 gms, 500 gms etc, based on your desire.
Steps to prepare:
1. Sieve the besan flour which would separate coarser from finer particles. Mix the besan flour in a 1/2 glass of milk and 1/2 of glass of water and keep it aside.
* If milk is added then mysore pak will be very soft like Krishna sweets.

2. Add Ghee in the pan, reduce the flame to low to change it in liquid consistency (if the ghee is already in liquid state, then skip this process)
3. To make sugar syrup, add 2 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water in a pan, boil it and stir continuously till you get the string consistency.

4. In the prepared sugar syrup add the besan batter in smaller quantities and stir it well. (Make sure that you stir it well and lumps are not formed) Repeat the procedure for the rest of besan batter.
5. Add the liquid ghee in the prepared besan mixture in smaller quantities until it becomes softer and stir well continuously until the mixture turns to semi solid with glazing ghee on the top. Switch off the stove and transfer it to a greased plate.
Mysore Pak is Ready to serve.
